Banana by troddk

Format: Commander

Commander: Kibo, Uktabi Prince

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Gruul Ape and Monkey deck uses Kibo, Uktabi Prince to turn every Banana and artifact into team-wide +1/+1 counters. Kibo hands each player Bananas, then rewards you when any opponent artifact dies and forces an artifact sacrifice when he attacks. The deck pairs that engine with heavy artifact and land destruction - Vandalblast, Seeds of Innocence, Jokulhaups, Obliterate, Blood Moon - and counter doublers Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Doubling Season and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire. Apes grow large quickly and close games through trample combat. Silverback Elder and Kogla, the Titan Ape act as secondary engines and removal while Viridian Revel and Rishkar's Expertise refill your hand.
