Tergrid, God of losing friends🕯💀 by user9957045

Format: Commander

Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built to weaponize discard and sacrifice, helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright (and its Lantern side). The primary game plan forces opponents to discard cards and sacrifice permanents, then steals those cards with Tergrid's trigger, amassing a board of stolen goods while generating value from payoffs like Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The deck wins through overwhelming board presence, a massive Torment of Hailfire, Bolass Citadel life-drain, or Rise of the Dark Realms. It is a grindy, resource-denial engine that punishes opponents for playing the game.
