Format: Commander

Commander: Saruman, the White Hand

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Saruman, the White Hand is an amass-and-storm commander: the deck plays a long chain of instants, sorceries, and other noncreature spells to grow a single Orc Army while Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Wizard tokens burn every opponent. The primary path is Saruman plus a spell-cascade of cantrips and rituals into Thousand-Year Storm and Crackle with Power for a one-turn kill. Alania, Divergent Storm acts as a hidden commander: her first-spell copy effect can turn Return the Favor into a copy loop when a Magecraft draw or damage payoff is present. The deck has a solid midrange interaction suite and recursion via Kess, Snapcaster, and Flashback.
