Kaalia by user1853951

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast is a Mardu battlecruiser that cheats Angels, Demons, and Dragons into play tapped and attacking. The main plan is to resolve Kaalia on turn 4, then use each combat to drop one huge flyer while a reanimator package (Entomb, Buried Alive, Reanimate, Exhume) sets up an early threat or recovers after a wipe. One-shot wins come from Archfiend of Despair doubling all damage at end step, especially with Terror of Mount Velus or Quietus Spike, and Isshin, Two Heavens as One can double the cheat triggers. Kaalia, Zenith Seeker, Phyrexian Arena, and Razaketh keep the hand full. This is a value-swing deck, not a compact combo deck, but it can end a single combat with two or more dead opponents once the board is established.
