Freaky frogs by user7871774

Format: Commander

Commander: Grolnok, the Omnivore

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grolnok, the Omnivore is the engine of a UG Frog-tribal self-mill deck. The primary plan is to deploy early Frogs, cast Grolnok on turn three, attack with as many Frogs as possible, and convert the milled permanents into repeatable card advantage by playing them from exile. The secondary plan is Thassa's Oracle plus Hermit Druid, but it is conditional on shrinking or emptying the library, so it is not a fast backup. There is no true hidden commander; Clement, the Worrywort and Doc Aurlock reinforce the bounce/exile theme, but the deck loses its main engine if Grolnok is absent. Combat is the usual finisher, typically through a wide Frog board and Coat of Arms or Murkfiend Liege.
