Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie Tribal and Aristocrats build led by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The strategy focuses on building an early board of synergistic Zombies, converting nontoken creatures into decayed tokens upon death, and leveraging sacrifice triggers for sustained card draw. The deck transitions into the midgame with powerful tribal lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Diregraf Captain to present significant combat pressure. Mid-to-late game closers include Grave Titan, Army of the Damned, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, as well as combo potential with Rooftop Storm and Gravecrawler. With robust graveyard recursion engines like Gisa and Geralf, Victimize, and Zombie Apocalypse, the deck resists attrition and grindy matchups well, though its reliance on creature combat and natural card draw gives it a steady, mid-power pacing.
