Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores is the deck's engine and its hidden commander: nearly every plan converts his activated abilities into +1/+1 counters and Saprolings. The primary line lands Ghave, Ashnod's Altar, and a counter-return trigger such as Cathars' Crusade, Rosie Cotton, or Ivy Lane Denizen; each Saproling entry refunds the removed counter, and sacrificing it to the Altar nets infinite mana and tokens. Drain outlets - Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Elas il-Kor - then kill the table. Secondary paths go wide with token doublers and Mycoloth, or assemble the same loop and pump Champion of Lambholt to attack past all blockers. The deck is fast but linear, and almost all wins share Ghave and Ashnod's Altar.
