Deck overview

This mono-red deck is a one-shot burn deck built around Heartless Hidetsugu. The goal is to accelerate out the commander, grant haste (or simply untap), and double the damage it deals with one of several damage-multiplying permanents. Fiendish Duo and Solphim double only damage to opponents, so they turn a single activation into a 40-damage kill without harming the pilot. Global doublers require a lifelink equipment to keep you alive. The deck keeps a few slower backup plans-Brash Taunter + wipes, Chandra ultimates, and Valakut-but all primary lines resolve around one activation of the commander.
