Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Temur wheel-token deck built to weaponize the commander, Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The core loop is simple and brutal: resolve a wheel effect, and every opponent drawing seven cards creates a horde of 1/1 Snake tokens - 21 snakes from a single wheel. The deck then converts that army into a win through drain engines like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Agate Instigator, or through a one-shot alpha strike with Triumph of the Hordes backed by Shared Animosity. Flash enablers such as Borne Upon a Wind and Emergence Zone let the deck wheel on opponents' turns, generating snakes at instant speed, while a dense protection and counterspell suite keeps Xyris alive through the counter-war. The average mana value of 2.41 keeps the curve lean, and the deck leans on cheap rituals and dorks to power out the commander early.
