Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control build centered on Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign as a high-velocity mana-cheating engine. The strategy accelerates into Yennett by Turn 4 using artifact ramp, then utilizes topdeck manipulation like Sensei's Divining Top, Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire to guarantee odd-cost cards on top of the library. When Yennett attacks on Turn 5, she cheats game-ending odd-cost permanents directly onto the battlefield without paying their costs. These payoffs include asymmetric lock pieces like Void Winnower, creature-sweeping powerhouses like Toxrill, the Corrosive and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and massive value spells like Breach the Multiverse and Expropriate. The deck protects its board through light interaction and taxes before closing out the game through evasive combat damage over several turn cycles. While explosive, the plan depends heavily on Yennett surviving summoning sickness without built-in haste or dedicated protection.
