Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Squirrel-token deck built around Chatterfang, Squirrel General's replacement effect, which adds a bonus Squirrel to every token-creation event. The plan is to flood the board with a critical mass of 1/1 Squirrels, amplified by token doublers like Parallel Lives, Second Harvest, and Chatterstorm, then close the game through combat with anthem pieces (Deep Forest Hermit, Spider-Ham, Peter Porker, Chitterspitter) and table-wide drain from Valley Rotcaller and Blood Artist. A dedicated Food-token subtheme fuels Trail of Crumbs card advantage and Hazel of the Rootbloom's token-mana engine. A faster alternate line is the two-card Scurry Oak + Ivy Lane Denizen infinite counter/Squirrel loop - the deck's only realizable combo. A recursion package (Reanimate, Victimize, Living Death) helps rebuild, making this a midrange value deck that overwhelms through token quantity rather than combo speed.
