Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is an Esper control/drain deck. The primary plan is to stabilize with pillowfort enchantments and countermagic, then win through two-card life-loss loops: Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank or Exquisite Blood + Marauding Blight-Priest. Y'shtola is both a draw engine, triggering at end step whenever any player lost 4 or more life, and a repeated burn spell for noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater. Bolas's Citadel provides a secondary engine and mana-sink finisher, while Approach of the Second Sun is a slow third line. The deck is built around Y'shtola's triggers, but every combo works without her. There is no hidden commander.
