Deck overview

This is a Dimir surveil midrange-control list helmed by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The plan is to repeatedly surveil, stock the graveyard, and grow Mirko into a flying vigilance threat while his end-step trigger reanimates under-sized creatures with finality counters. The deck plays a grindy value game-filtering with surveil, answering the board, and looping ETB bodies-rather than assembling infinite combos. Primary wins come from Mirko commander damage once he is large, repeated life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Twilight Prophet, and Starving Revenant, and fair combat pressure from reanimated haymakers like Massacre Wurm, Grave Titan, and Doom Whisperer. Ultimecia, Time Sorceress offers a late extra-turn spike. With almost no traditional ramp and a 3.15 average mana value, the deck is deliberately midrange: stabilize, out-resource the table, then close.
