Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund midrange engine helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, focusing on the placement and manipulation of -1/-1 counters and the Blight mechanic. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the early turns to deploy Auntie Ool by Turn 3 or 4, quickly turning every counter placement on friendly creatures into continuous card draw. In the midgame, the deck pivots into heavy board control using mass counter spells like Black Sun's Zenith, Carnifex Demon, and Soul Snuffers to shrink opposing boards while producing large armies of tokens via Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Asymmetric lock pieces like Kulrath Knight ensure opponents cannot retaliate in combat, while drain effects from Obelisk Spider and Auntie Ool whittle down life totals before a wide token alpha strike closes the game on Turn 8.
