Commander: Doran, Besieged by Time

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Doran, Besieged by Time leads a toughness-matters Abzan wall deck. His discount makes big-toughness creatures cheaper, and his attack trigger turns 0/5s and 0/7s into serious attackers. The 99 contains a hidden Doran, the Siege Tower plus Assault Formation, Felothar, Bedrock Tortoise, Huatli, and Baldin to replace combat damage with toughness. Ramp from dorks, land tutors, and Wall of Roots accelerates into Betor, Canopy Gargantuan, Last March of the Ents, or a single unblockable Jumbo Cactuar. Draw from Walls, Toski, Ohran, Fecund Greenshell, and Betor keeps the engine moving. The deck wins through massive combat damage and an end-step half-life trigger from Betor rather than a compact combo.
