Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on Ozai, the Phoenix King, converting combat-generated firebending mana into a permanent red mana battery. The list uses aggressive early creatures and thematic support to curve into its six-mana commander. Once deployed on Turn 6, Ozai attacks immediately with haste and trample, banking unspent firebending mana that persists across turn phases. Amassing six or more unspent red mana grants Ozai flying and indestructible, transforming him into an evasive, resilient threat on Turn 7. The deck leverages this accumulated mana pool to fuel high-impact burn outlets such as Fire Nation Turret, Fire Nation Archers, and combat pumps like Avatar Roku, Firebender. The strategy relies on sequential combat steps and direct damage to eliminate opponents one by one, finishing around Turn 10. While resilient to destruction once fully powered, the deck depends on natural draws and carries minimal stack interaction, making early creature mana development and timely pressure essential to victory.
