Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Meren of Clan Nel Toth as a relentless recursion engine, combining sacrifice outlets, death triggers, and a dense graveyard suite to grind out overwhelming value. The primary plan is to accumulate experience counters via creature deaths, then recur high-impact threats like Kokusho, the Evening Star, Grave Titan, or Archon of Cruelty each end step. The deck can pivot into deterministic wins through the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion + sacrifice outlet infinite damage loop, or by cracking Protean Hulk into a value pile that sets up the same combo. A robust reanimation package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Living Death, Balthor the Defiled, and Lich-Knights' Conquest) ensures the board can be rebuilt through disruption, while Grave Pact and edict creatures maintain table control.
