Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Sidisi, Regent of the Mire as a repeatable Birthing Pod engine from the graveyard. It curves out low-cost sacrifice fodder like Snarling Gorehound and Gravecrawler into early value engines. Sidisi ladders these pieces into impactful utility creatures, card engines like Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and high-end reanimation bombs including Archon of Cruelty and Massacre Wurm. The primary route to victory is an aristocrat combo: Warren Soultrader sacrifices Gravecrawler to generate Treasures, while Zulaport Cutthroat, Ayara, First of Locthwain, or Vengeful Bloodwitch drains the table and refunds the life paid. Because Warren Soultrader is a Zombie, Gravecrawler recasts itself indefinitely with the generated Treasure. The deck maintains steady card flow through self-mill, surveil, and monarch engines. It controls opposing creature boards with edicts while threatening to close out the game on Turn 5.
