Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir sea-monster midrange deck helmed by Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep. The plan is to fill the graveyard, transform Runo into Krothuss, then attack with oversized Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents so Krothuss floods the board with tapped-and-attacking copies. Self-mill and discard (Stitcher's Supplier, Careful Study, Buried Alive) feed both Runo's ETB setup and a dense reanimation suite (Animate Dead, Victimize, Living Death, Incarnation Technique, Whip of Erebos). Primary wins come from combat overwhelm aided by Serpent of Yawning Depths, Spawning Kraken, and Stormtide Leviathan; secondary paths include Hullbreaker Horror control value, Gyruda, Doom of Depths ETB theft, and mass reanimation blowouts. The deck plays as a grindy, high-curve value engine that turns one successful Krothuss attack into an insurmountable board.
