Deck overview

Ekthi, Contaminator Priest commands a mono-white equipment midrange deck that converts every Equipment spell into an immediate board presence. By granting all Equipment the living weapon mechanic, Ekthi creates 0/0 Phyrexian Germ tokens upon artifact entry that survive as 1/1 creatures thanks to Ekthi's Phyrexian anthem. This eliminates the traditional tempo deficit of equipment strategies by providing free creature carriers with every weapon cast. Supported by dedicated card-draw engines like Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer, the deck steadily refills its hand while ramping with Sword of the Animist and Bitterthorn, Nissa's Animus. Cost-cheating enablers such as Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist and Sigarda's Aid allow massive artifacts like Colossus Hammer and Kaldra Compleat to attach freely. The deck transitions into lethal combat swings around Turn 6, eliminating opponents consecutively while relying on board sweepers, token doublers, and mass artifact recursion to sustain momentum.
