Format: Commander

Commander: Dina, Essence Brewer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Dina, Essence Brewer helms a Golgari sacrifice deck that converts tokens and reanimated threats into cards, life, and tablewide drain. The primary plan is to generate a steady stream of Pests, Zombies, Eldrazi Spawn, and other expendable bodies, then sacrifice them to Dina or free outlets for draw and mana. Drain payoffs such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Cauldron of Essence turn every death into pressure, and Dina, Soul Steeper acts as a hidden commander by punishing all lifegain. Big reanimation targets like Razaketh, Ghalta, and Daemogoth Titan provide tutoring or one large lifegain swing. The fastest route is a five-plus-piece sacrifice loop with Ashnod's Altar, Nim Deathmantle, Warren Soultrader, Pitiless Plunderer, and Pawn of Ulamog, usually set up by turn 8.
