Deck overview

The Wise Mothman commands a synergistic Sultai deck that fuses radiation counters, mill, and +1/+1 counter proliferation into an aggressive mid-range engine. Early turns establish mana acceleration through efficient talismans and land ramp, setting up a Turn 3 or 4 commander deployment. Once in play, Mothman spreads rad counters to all players on entry and attack. As opponents mill cards during their precombat main phases, nonland mills trigger Mothman to rapidly distribute +1/+1 counters across your board. Counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Corpsejack Menace accelerate this power growth, transforming Mothman and supporting creatures into lethal threats by Turn 5. The deck maintains control with a deep suite of counterspells and flexible removal, while protecting its board with spells like Ripples of Potential and Mutational Advantage. Alternate win conditions like Bruvac the Grandiloquent mill bursts, Simic Ascendancy, and Triumph of the Hordes ensure lethal inevitability.
