Deck overview

This is a Golgari Snake/Gorgon tribal midrange deck built around Aphelia, Viper Whisperer, who serves as both token engine and finisher. The plan is simple and sticky: flood the board with cheap deathtouch Snakes - Aphelia makes one every attack for just {B/G} - then convert a swarm of tiny hits into enormous life swings. Aphelia's {4}{B} ability makes any Gorgon/Snake combat damage halve the opponent's life, a clock that stacks with Wound Reflection, Quietus Spike, and Grievous Wound to kill from 40 in one or two combats. Fynn, the Fangbearer gives the same deathtouch swarm a poison alternate win, while Seshiro the Anointed, Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro, and Deathreap Ritual provide pump, mana, and card flow. This is an attritional combat deck with a light ramp skeleton, one true board wipe, and zero counterspells; it wins by grinding through blocks with deathtouch and finishing with poison, Overrun, or life-halving triggers.
