Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Group Slug and Lifegain Attrition deck commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. The primary strategy accelerates into Liesa by turn 4, using her innate tax ability alongside cards like Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Rug of Smothering, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to penalize opponents for every spell cast and card drawn. Because Liesa features lifelink and 5 flying power, the deck breaks parity on life loss while steadily increasing its own life buffer. Asymmetric stax pieces like Archon of Emeria and Blind Obedience slow down explosive opposing turns, forcing players to grind into repeated bleed triggers. High-impact finishers such as Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Wound Reflection, and Debt to the Deathless turn incremental drain into a decisive win by turn 7. Liesa's unique commander tax ability—paying life instead of additional mana—provides outstanding recovery, ensuring constant pressure even through board wipes.
