Commander: Old Rutstein

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Golgari graveyard deck uses Old Rutstein to generate steady self-mill and token material in the form of Insects, Treasures, and Blood. Early turns focus on filling the graveyard with self-milling creatures like Stitcher's Supplier, Skull Prophet, and Golgari Grave-Troll while accumulating token fodder. The deck then converts this packed graveyard and wide board presence into dominant board states using mass reanimation and explosive token generators. Games are closed out either by swinging wide with massive creature swarms from Kessig Cagebreakers, Izoni, Thousand-Eyed, and Champion of Lambholt, resolving a game-ending Living Death, or burning out opponents directly with Syr Konrad, the Grim.
