Sauron, the Dark Lord for Deception by Dusky90

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis midrange-control list helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord weaponizes the amass and Ring-temptation engines baked into the commander. Opponents' spells inflate an Orc Army while combat damage and Nazgul ETBs repeatedly tempt the Ring, letting Sauron discard a hand to draw four and grow every Wraith. The deck layers premium stack interaction, theft, and flicker value (Displacer Kitten, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Conjurer's Closet) on top of that engine, then closes through a swollen Army plus nine Nazgul, drain effects, or extra-turn haymakers (Expropriate, Temporal Manipulation). Secondary plans include Sheoldred, the Apocalypse punishment, Agent of Treachery theft, and reanimation. Sauron is the primary draw and token engine but the 99 still functions as a high-power Grixis value deck if he is removed.
