Deck overview

This is a spell-slinging control deck helmed by Elminster, built entirely around the synergy between scry effects and the commander's cost-reduction ability. The primary game plan is to establish a critical mass of scry enablers, reduce the mana cost of expensive instants and sorceries, and then either chain extra turns to double-cast Approach of the Second Sun for a win or overwhelm the board with a massive token army from Storm Herd and Elminster's -3 ability. The deck also leans on Mnemic Deluge to copy key time-walk effects for extra turns. It is a slow, deliberate engine that aims to control the early game with counterspells and removal before dropping its haymakers.
