Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Spellslinger Burn deck commanded by Black Waltz No. 3. The strategy revolves around deploying the commander alongside redundant burn creatures like Firebrand Archer, Guttersnipe, and Coruscation Mage, then casting a flurry of low-cost noncreature spells, rituals, and removal to deal massive direct damage to all opponents simultaneously. Mana velocity is fueled by efficient artifacts, cost reducers like Ruby Medallion, and explosive mana spells such as Jeska's Will, Mana Geyser, and Storm-Kiln Artist. Damage doublers and amplifiers, including Harmonic Prodigy and Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage, rapidly escalate the burn clock. The deck reliably assembles its setup by Turn 4, creates a critical lethal threat by Turn 5, and eliminates the table on Turn 6 after a single opponent response cycle. While highly resilient to commander removal thanks to deep burn redundancy in the 99, the deck remains vulnerable to board wipes and heavy stack-based countermagic.
