Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue draw-go control strategy that transforms opponent-turn card draw into a battlefield advantage. Commanded by The Watcher in the Water, the deck aims to cast instant-speed cantrips and draw spells during each opponent's turn. Each card drawn creates a 1/1 Tentacle token, rapidly building a wide defensive army that deters attackers and clogs the board. As Tentacles die in combat or to sacrifice outlets, the commander unstuns itself into a 9/9 threat while placing stun counters on opposing permanents. The deck controls the game using efficient countermagic, tapdown effects from Junk Winder, and taxes like Rhystic Study and Propaganda. Once established, the deck leverages its token army to convoke massive draw spells, digging deep into the library to win through Laboratory Maniac, Triskaidekaphile, Psychic Corrosion mill, or flying combat damage via Wonder.
