Deck overview

Esper control/reanimator with Zur the Enchanter as a repeatable enchantment tutor. Zur is a single-faced commander and there is no hidden commander; he fetches Rhystic Study, Phyrexian Arena, Bitterblossom, Rule of Law, and protection auras while the rest of the deck controls the game. The primary plan is to reanimate large threats such as Archon of Cruelty, Wurmcoil Engine, and Valgavoth, then finish with an infinite damage loop from Ashnod's Altar + Nim Deathmantle + Wurmcoil Engine + Orcish Bowmasters. Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose plus Bloodthirsty Conqueror is a compact life-drain backup. The deck does not need Zur to win and uses a deep counterspell and instant-speed removal package to survive to its combo.
