Deck overview

This is a Naya Equipment midrange-Voltron deck helmed by Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER. The plan is to ramp into Cloud, auto-attach a key Equipment on ETB, and immediately attack thanks to haste. Each attack draws cards equal to the number of equipped attackers and, once Cloud reaches power 7, floods the board with Treasures. The 99 is packed with Equipment, cheap tutors, equip-cost reducers, and Final Fantasy legends that either copy Equipment, re-attach it at combat, or convert big modified creatures into extra combats and table-wide damage. Primary wins come from commander damage and overwhelming combat turns enabled by Tifa, Martial Artist and Vincent, Vengeful Atoner; there are no infinite combos. The deck plays as a resilient, card-advantage-driven aggro deck that rebuilds through wipes by recasting Cloud and re-equipping the persistent Gear.
