thranduil budget by HexArcanum

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai elf-combo deck that turns the graveyard into a toolbox. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with elf druids, then use Thranduil's ability to access their mana and untap abilities from the command zone. Secondary paths include classic elf-ball combat with Ezuri, Renegade Leader, and the Lathril drain. The deck also contains a hidden Necrotic Ooze package, since Thranduil and Necrotic Ooze both read activated abilities from graveyards. The deck is built to use Thranduil's front face as a resilient, repeatable combo engine, with the back face of the MDFC lands providing flexible land drops.
