Chatterfang, Squirrel General (duplicated from Desi) by user9781675

Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Chatterfang is both the engine and the payoff: he doubles every token the deck makes and his sacrifice ability removes blockers. The primary plan is to outproduce the table with Squirrels, Saprolings, and Zombies, then convert the horde into a win through combat or drain effects (Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist). Secondary lines are infinite token loops built from Squirrel Nest + Earthcraft, Scurry Oak + Ivy Lane Denizen, and Pitiless Plunderer sacrifice chains. The commander's -X/-X ability is a flexible creature answer, not a kill condition. There is no double-faced or hidden commander; The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is a support token piece rather than a second command option. Without Chatterfang the deck still works, but loses its fastest lines.
