Deck overview

This is a Gruul Ape/Monkey tribal midrange deck helmed by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. The core plan is to deploy Kibo, flood the table with Banana tokens, then systematically destroy opponents' artifacts (Bananas included) to dump +1/+1 counters across your Ape and Monkey army. Counter multipliers like Hardened Scales and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, force-multipliers such as Uncivil Unrest and Roaming Throne, and payoffs like All Will Be One turn that growth into lethal combat or direct damage. The deck leans on efficient Ape bodies (Kogla, the Titan Ape, Silverback Elder, Flopsie, Bumi's Buddy), tribal cost reduction (Urza's Incubator), and a dense artifact-hate suite rather than infinite combos. Secondary angles include chaotic group-slug from Descent into Avernus and value reanimation/exile lines via Anzrag's Rampage. It plays as a proactive beatdown deck that weaponizes the table's own artifacts against them.
