Nekusar draft 1 by user8377428

Format: Commander

Commander: Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Nekusar, the Mindrazer is a Grixis wheel-and-draw-punisher deck. The primary plan is to land Nekusar early, back him with damage amplifiers and pain enchantments, then cast mass-draw spells such as Windfall, Dark Deal, Reforge the Soul, and Day's Undoing so every opponent draw turns into life loss. Niv-Mizzet, Parun acts as a hidden secondary commander, offering a compact Curiosity/Ophidian Eye infinite-damage kill. The commander also functions as a reusable draw engine that helps find wheels and protection. Without Nekusar, the enchantment-based pain suite still functions, but the clock is meaningfully slower; interaction and tutors protect the main game plan.
