Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Superfriends and control strategy commanded by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen. Its primary game plan revolves around early mana development, defensive creature suppression, and establishing an overwhelming planeswalker engine. The deck utilizes prison pieces such as Ensnaring Bridge, Meekstone, and Static Orb to paralyze opposing creature combat and untap steps, creating a secure environment for its 14 planeswalkers to tick up unhindered. Planeswalkers like Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God, Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, and Liliana, Dreadhorde General systematically strip opponents of cards and permanents while generating card advantage. Proliferate engines including Inexorable Tide and Contagion Clasp accelerate loyalty counters rapidly toward game-ending ultimate abilities. An extensive interaction package featuring Force of Will, Counterspell, and Cyclonic Rift protects the board and halts opposing win attempts, leading to an inevitable late-game victory through ultimate triggers, reanimation, or evasive token swarms.
