Throwing Shade by GlitchHunterz

Format: Commander

Commander: Lyna, Veil of Vengeance

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a focused "shadow tribal" build helmed by Lyna, Veil of Vengeance, a three-color commander that turns unblockable shadow creatures into a repeating card advantage engine. The primary plan is to deploy a swarm of evasive shadow creatures, use Lyna to draw cards every time one connects, and gradually grind out value through incremental damage and selective removal. The deck lacks explosive combos or fast mana; it relies on board presence, a small suite of instant-speed interaction, and the commander's persistent draw to outpace opponents. Secondary payoffs like Bident of Thassa and Syr Vondam, the Lucent add card draw and combat tricks, while a handful of control spells keep key threats at bay. The deck aims to win through consistent combat over multiple turns rather than a single haymaker turn.
