Deck overview

The deck uses Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver to turn Zombie deaths into additional bodies, then converts those bodies into cards, mill, or forced sacrifices. Its strongest ordinary pattern is to assemble Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, a sacrifice outlet such as Altar of Dementia, and a Zombie supply, followed by Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos. This can dominate creature-based battlefields and generate steady card flow through Undead Augur, Midnight Reaper, or Wilhelt's end-step ability. The list also has powerful but expensive top-end plays, including Rooftop Storm, Living Death, Rise of the Dark Realms, and Bolas's Citadel. Its main limits are slow assembly, tapped lands, singleton access, and little protection. It can create severe creature attrition, but it does not reliably convert that advantage into a complete table kill or total lockout.
