Deck overview

Vishgraz, the Doomhive commands an Abzan aggro-proliferate deck focused on rapidly infecting opponents with poison counters and multiplying them to lethal levels. The deck curves aggressively on early turns with low-cost toxic creatures like Bilious Skulldweller and Bloated Contaminator to distribute initial poison counters across the table. Deploying Vishgraz, the Doomhive on Turn 4 or 5 expands the board with three 1/1 toxic Mite tokens while providing a massive Menace attacker that scales with the table's total poison count. Once opponents are corrupted with three poison counters, value engines such as Contaminant Grafter and Glistening Sphere unlock card draw and mana surplus. The deck converts this board presence into a table finish across two subsequent combat steps using proliferate spells, mass token pump from Unnatural Growth, and asymmetric creature attrition from Grave Pact and Phyresis Outbreak. While vulnerable to exile sweepers and fast spell combos due to an absence of countermagic, its dense redundancy and recursion ensure consistent poison pressure.
