Teval / / Paper Version by KrysApex

Format: Commander

Commander: Teval, the Balanced Scale

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Teval, the Balanced Scale leads a Sultai self-mill/landfall deck that turns the graveyard into mana, tokens, and recursion. The primary plan is to mill lands and creatures, generate Zombie tokens with Teval, Insidious Roots, and Field of the Dead, then finish with Craterhoof Behemoth/Will of the Sultai or drain with Syr Konrad. A secondary line is the Gravecrawler + Altar of Dementia loop, with Kheru Goldkeeper producing Treasure for recasts. Teval is a value engine: attacking mills three and returns a land, while every leave-graveyard trigger grows a token army. Muldrotha, the Gravetide acts as a hidden commander, anchoring the replay-from-graveyard strategy that lets the deck keep functioning if Teval is removed.
