Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a focused X-spell tribal strategy helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary, leveraging its ability to produce mana and create Hydra tokens whenever you cast a spell with {X} in its cost. The primary game plan is to assemble infinite mana using Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura on Zaxara, then sink that mana into Walking Ballista, Exsanguinate, or Torment of Hailfire for an immediate win. Secondary paths include overwhelming the board with massive Hydra creatures (Hydroid Krasis, Primordial Hydra) and the counter-based alt-win condition Simic Ascendancy. The deck packs a dense ramp suite and a handful of tutors to find its key pieces, but its reliance on a single combo line and thin protection makes it a glass-cannon build that can explode quickly or fizzle if disrupted.
