Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Dimir Exile-Voltron and Mill control deck commanded by Umbris, Fear Manifest. The primary game plan focuses on exiling large volumes of opposing cards using asymmetrical graveyard hate and heavy mill spells such as Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Leyline of the Void, and Dauthi Voidwalker. This rapid exile inflates Umbris into a lethal threat with power often exceeding twenty, which is then directed at opponents via unblockable equipment and evasive enchantments like Brotherhood Regalia and Aqueous Form. Backed by a dense suite of free and efficient counterspells including Fierce Guardianship and Force of Negation, alongside devastating asymmetric denial pieces like Ashiok, Dream Render and Notion Thief, the deck protects its commander while disrupting opponents. In addition to commander damage, the list features a compact infinite backup win condition in Duskmantle Guildmage combined with Mindcrank to instantly mill and drain the entire table.
