The Reaper, King No More by Griimdaark_mtg

Format: Commander

Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a -1/-1 counter grind deck built around The Reaper, King No More as a one-shot-per-turn steal engine. It spreads counters with wither creatures, enter-the-battlefield effects, proliferate, and repeatable pings, then turns those deaths into card draw, tokens, and reanimation. Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons is effectively the hidden commander: with Blowfly Infestation and Zulaport Cutthroat she forms an infinite death/drain loop. Secondary wins come from The Scorpion God's card advantage, Defense of the Heart tutoring out large creatures, and a Triumph of the Hordes swing. The Reaper's role is to remove threats and steal them, enabling sacrifice/combat value while the combo assembles.
