Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Simic landfall engine led by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. It focuses on accelerating mana in the early turns using low-cost creatures and exploration effects, deploying Aesi on Turn 4 to unlock overwhelming card velocity. Every subsequent land drop draws cards and advances resource superiority. The deck converts this massive card and mana advantage into decisive combat wins through token armies from Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths, or non-combat finishes using Psychosis Crawler and Retreat to Coralhelm synergies. Defensively, the list is fortified with premier free counterspells like Force of Will, Force of Negation, and Pact of Negation, allowing the pilot to tap out for large threats while maintaining full reactive coverage.
