Deck overview

This is an Izzet artifact midrange deck built around Saheeli, the Sun's Brilliance. Its most reliable engine is copying an entered creature such as Aether Channeler to draw a card and create a temporary hasty body. Other targets provide larger bursts: Inspired Sphinx draws three cards, Combustible Gearhulk offers cards or damage, and Sharding Sphinx converts artifact-creature combat into Thopters. The deck also has artifact-sacrifice value through Slobad, Iron Goblin, Krenko, Baron of Tin Street, and Memorial Vault. Its main limitation is that these pieces are expensive and only partly tutored. The deck can answer opposing creatures, artifacts, enchantments, and spells, but it lacks efficient protection and a compact win. It is best suited to a slower casual table where incremental artifact value and large flying threats have time to matter, rather than a table expecting reliable wins by the early turns.
