Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis spellslinger strategy led by Fire Lord Azula. Azula turns the combat step into an explosive engine by producing {R}{R} on attack via Firebending 2 and duplicating every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck maximizes this ability by casting high-value instant-speed spells—such as draw spells, rituals, and removal—directly during combat, effectively doubling their resource yield. Permanent payoffs like Guttersnipe, Vivi Ornitier, Coruscation Mage, and Electrostatic Field convert each cast into noncombat damage distributed across all opponents, while Storm-Kiln Artist and Birgi, God of Storytelling provide boundless mana replenishment. A compact, elite suite of free interaction (Force of Will, Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick) shields Azula during critical attack steps. The deck reliably assembles by Turn 4, unleashes heavy multi-target pressure on Turn 5, and eliminates the table by Turn 6.
