Deck overview

This deck is a Temur mutate and permanent-cheat strategy piloted by Illuna, Apex of Wishes. The core game plan involves establishing an early, inexpensive non-Human host creature—such as Pollywog Symbiote, Mysterious Egg, or Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief—and accelerating into 6 mana. On Turn 5, casting Illuna for its mutate cost triggers an immediate permanent cheat directly from the library onto the battlefield. Subsequent mutate spells stack multiple triggers simultaneously, yielding exponential card advantage and cheating massive threats like Omniscience, One with the Multiverse, and End-Raze Forerunners into play. The deck controls opposing boards through on-theme mutate triggers like Gemrazer, Sawtusk Demolisher, and Archipelagore before closing games with massive flying and trampling combat damage aided by Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. While resilient against counterspells, it remains vulnerable to sweepers that target tall creature stacks.
