Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages lifegain synergy, board control, and combo finishes led by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration, soul sisters, and mild tax effects to slow down opponents and build a life buffer. In the mid game, Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel acts as a potent card-draw engine, converting every instance of lifegain into fresh cards to dig through the library. The deck aims to assemble two-card infinite drain loops—primarily pairing Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity. When triggered, these combinations drain all opponents to zero life in a single turn. Supporting silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Silence ensure the combo resolves uninterrupted.
