Out of Spells but not Out of Spells by Sifferton

Format: Commander

Commander: Massimo, the Magician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Jeskai spellslinger/combat deck is built around Massimo, the Magician, who grants creatures the ability to copy 1-mana instants and sorceries from the graveyard on combat damage. The strategy fills the graveyard with cheap spells like Boltwave and Lightning Bolt, deploys unblockable or evasive creatures with haste, and then chains extra combat phases via Aurelia, the Warleader, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, and Great Train Heist to fire off multiple copies of those spells in a single turn. Damage amplifiers such as Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Caldera Pyremaw turn each copy into a lethal shot. The deck is explosive but inconsistent, relying on a low-curve of cantrips and combat-triggered draw to find its critical pieces.
