Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck is built around Kona, Rescue Beastie, leveraging low-cost ramp and tap utilities to cheat massive permanents into play as early as turn 4. The list is packed with high-end beaters, including Eldrazi titans like Pathrazer of Ulamog and Artisan of Kozilek, legendary dinosaurs such as Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, and explosive mana doublers like Zendikar Resurgent. Tap enablers such as Springleaf Drum, Gene Pollinator, and Citanul Stalwart ensure Kona's Survival trigger fires reliably without risking the commander in unfavorable combat steps. Strong creature-based draw engines (Garruk's Uprising, The Great Henge, Elemental Bond) keep the hand stocked with threats, while redundant cheat permanents (Monster Manual, Elvish Piper) provide resilience against commander removal. A tight package of 1-to-2 mana protection spells defends the board, enabling the deck to overwhelm the table in combat across turns 5 to 7.
